VITAMINS 

The word Vitamin has come from the Latin word "vita" means "life". It is composed of two words; vital plus amine means compounds required for normal growth of the body and maintenance of several body functions.

Vitamins are organic molecules that are an essential part of a regular diet.




WHERE DO WE GET?

Vitamins are components in food that are needed in a very small amount for growth and for maintaining good health. They can relate in the way that chemical present which is found in different food items.

WHATS'S THE NEED TO GET VITAMIN?



The human body is made of trillions of cells and these cells forms tissue which differentiates and form organs to perform vital functions. As from research, it has proven that vitamin is required for the growth and maintenance of good health and various functions of the body. Mainly helps in building resistance among disease in the body and a lot of more useful benefits which are discussed below.
 
WHICH GENERATION REQUIRE MORE OFTEN VITAMIN?

Research on different age groups has been done and founded that children and middle age groups tend to find more deficient. Healthy food and supplements (refer to by physician) for the same could be beneficial. Once growth and development are completed, vitamins remain chief nutrients for the healthy maintenance of the cells, tissue, and organ.




IMPORTANCE OF VITAMIN

vitamins are required in small quantities in the diet, as they cannot be synthesized by the body. They get stored in the body after getting in food by 2 forms as -- water-soluble and fat-soluble. 

Water-soluble vitamins that dissolve in water, cannot be stored in human tissue (as it is lipophilic= lipid) that's why their excess is excreted with urine.

 A fat-soluble vitamin that dissolves in fat, the only sign of them gets stored in adipose tissue and by the liver (as they get accumulate and can be saved for future use).
 
WHAT HAPPEN IN HUMAN BODY AFTER HAVING VITAMIN?

 The vitamin is directed from the food. The Mechanism by which vitamin gets into and out from the body, absorption of vitamin (directly to blood for water-soluble and fat-soluble gets into lymph's).
 


VITAMIN A 

An essential nutrient is useful for normal functioning in small amounts and for the maintenance of cell function of growth, epithelial integrity (skin), red blood cell production, immunity, and reproduction.

SOURCE:  cod liver oil, eggs, cereals, fruits and green vegetables, carrot (a rich source of vitamin A).

VITAMIN D 

Essential for several reasons like, like maintenance and growth of bones and teeth, also prevent from diabetes (type 1).

Even though our body uses sun rays to produce vitamin D, don not go to sunlight as the environment gets polluted nowadays and effected in tanning due to UV light (use of sunscreen for prevention).

SOURCE:  cereals, whole milk, oatmeal, eggs, goat cheese, tofu, butter, swiss cheese.

 VITAMIN E
 
Vitamin E function as an antioxidant (reduce stress, risk of heartburn, risk of cancer) improves absorption of vitamin A, protects blood cells.

SOURCE: sunflower seeds, avocados, butternut squash, olive oil, shrimp, trout, spinach, almonds.

VITAMIN K 

this vitamin plays a role in blood clotting, bone metabolism, and regulating blood calcium. responsible for the performance of the most important function of the body prevents the body from unwanted bleeding.

SOURCE: cabbage, cauliflower, tomato, green veggies, meat, cheese, and dairy product.

VITAMIN C

This vitamin is needed for the growth and repair of tissue in all parts of your body, used to form an important protein, which makes skin tissue, tendons, ligaments, and blood vessels, it heals wounds and forms scar tissue, repair cartilage, bones, teeth also acts as a very good antioxidant (prevent damage caused by free radicals).

SOURCE: lemon, pomelo, pineapple, orange, black currant, guava, strawberry, sun-dried tomatoes, kale.

VITAMIN B1

A member of the B complex family, function as important coenzymes in energy metabolism, in the production of body sugar it acts as an important source, required for the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, proteins.

SOURCE: cereals, meats, and legumes. Richest sources are brewer's yeast, liver, beef, dried peas, and beans.

VITAMIN B2

Function as hydrogen carriers, assist in the metabolism of carbohydrates, protein, fats. Does oxidation of many drugs (called drug vitamin).

 SOURCE:  milk, liver, heart, kidney, lean meat, cheese, eggs, leafy green vegetables.

VITAMIN B3

It performs a vital function in the body by acting as a coenzyme and leads to the metabolism of complex food substances in its simplest form, helps in respiration, carbohydrate metabolism, and fat synthesis.

SOURCE:  yeast, meat, legumes, peanut and whole cereals, chief source animal protein and vegetable protein.

VITAMIN B5

It involved in the release of energy from the catabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fat, helps in the formation of energy, the formation of fats and other sterols also in the formation of hemoglobin.
 
SOURCE: yeast, milk, fruits, vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes.

VITAMIN B6

Functions as the formation of red blood cells help in amino acid and fatty acid metabolism (functional unit of protein and fat), aids in the normal functioning of nervous tissue.

SOURCE:  liver, yeast, legumes, whole grains, wheat germ, wheat bran.

VITAMIN B7

It performs a vital function in the body by acting as a coenzyme for various reactions involving the addition of carbon dioxide in the formation of purines.

SOURCE: kidney, liver, milk, egg yolk, yeast.

VITAMIN V9
 
Essential for the manufacture and maturation of blood cells, necessary for the normal functioning of the hematopoietic system, it helps in preventing anemia, and also some birth defects and heart disease.

SOURCE: dark green veggies are effective, asparagus, broccoli, soya beans and nuts, orange juice.

VITAMIN V12

Most essential vitamin and most common vitamin which leads to plays a biomechanical in the maintenance of myelin, involved in the synthesis of nucleoproteins.

SOURCE: occurs primarily in animal food and the liver is the richest source, meat, eggs, milk, cheese, fish.
